Looking for Love in all the wrong places.. Religion often defines sin as breaking the rules, but sin is ultimately breaking relationship with the one who created us and then trying to find satisfaction, peace and life apart from Him .. Jesus  Its looking for life, love and peace in all the wrong places apart from Jesus Christ. Sin is not believing or trusting that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. Listen to what Jesus said about sin . The world's sin is that it refuses to believe in me. John 16:9 Again the world is looking for life and satisfaction in all the wrong places which includes trying to find life through religious duty , and rigorous self disciplines. Listen to what Jesus tells the Pharisees You are busy analyzing the Scriptures, frantically poring over them in hopes of gaining eternal life. Everything you read points to me, yet you still refuse to come to me so I can give you the life you're looking for-eternal life! John 5:39-40 One day as Jesus was observing so many rushing around in their religious duties and He cries out ! All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing w from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” John 7:37-38 Whether in the world or in religion these all had the same thing in common they were all looking for peace , love and satisfaction apart from the one who created them. Remember the Women at well ? Attempting to find satisfaction through relationships . She had been married 5 times and the one she was living with number 6 was not her husband. But Jesus who represents number 7 was the only one who could bring her ultimate satisfaction.  What about those seeking Jesus because of the Feeding of the 5000 ? Jesus replied, "Let me make this very clear, you came looking for me because I fed you by a miracle, not because you believe in me. Why would you strive for food that is perishable and not be passionate to seek the food of eternal life, which never spoils? I, the Son of Man, am ready to give you what matters most, for God the Father has destined me for this purpose." They replied, "So what should we do if we want to do God's work?" Jesus answered, "The work you can do for God starts with believing in the One he has sent." John 6:26-29 How about the prodigal son ? Seeking satisfaction through all kinds of extravagant reckless living ? Or The young rich ruler ? Looking for satisfaction by having much wealth or or doing more religious duties? All of them were attempting to find satisfaction apart from Jesus and drinking from the wrong well. So Jesus says if you give up your pursuit of all these things and come to me you’ll find true life and satisfaction. All the bad behavior stuff that we call sin is really the result of us trying to find life , love , satisfaction and peace apart from Jesus.. If people would come and find Life and Love from the right source , the right well who is Jesus then they would be satisfied never thirst. Anyone who drinks from any other well then Jesus will thirst again and again and again . The bottomless pit is attempting to find satisfaction apart from the life Christ. All who attempt to find satisfaction and life apart from Christ are perishing .. We’ve often made perishing all about going to hell one day and eternal life all about going to heaven one day when it mostly has to do with our present state of being. Are we being infused with life or death ? An empty well can also include the of the work of the ministry.. Many think that busyness in religion will satisfy and it will not .. it will just lead to burnout ! The original lie is pursuing something that dosnt .. exist.. and that is there is life apart from the one who created us . Yes ! We do need to be a true tree huger .. Hug the tree of life who is Jesus! There is no life apart from Christ.. Apart from Christ there us no real life Seek first Jesus and everything else will be added to you. Everything grows up and out of knowing Jesus as we embrace Christ who is our Life..

Gods love for you is unconditional. Gods love is not based on your perfect behavior. God has always loved you ! Even when you were in sin and acting like a fool God still loved you .. Gods love is not like picking petals on a daisy , He loves me , He loves me not ! No! the truth is that God loves you , He loves you and keeps on loving you because it’s who He is ! God is Love! God is not mad at you, He’s mad about you ! To surrender to God and to submit to God is to submit to Love. Religion has often given us a wrong  view of God .. Many believe that  God is out to get them or that God is always upset with them or very disappointed with them, But God is not like man! God is not moody ! God is not in a bad mood or good mood .
